A student asked me the other day if we could watch Simpsons in class some time. When I said it was poor learning material they thought I was just making excuses.
But it is! They make up too many words! Sure it’s funny, especially as a word nerd, but do I really want to have to explain “meh”, “cromulent”, and “dumbening”? I mean, the last episode I saw used “pajama” as a verb!
