Friends have (so wonderfully) offered to oversee all birthday plans, which is great, because my plans always end up exploding. All of them.
Example:
Me: La la la, gonna make me some cereal..
KA-BLAMMO!!!
Just like that.
The depressing thing is… the people I want to invite the most aren’t anywhere near New York. Or the United States, for that [...]

I’ve been on musical hold a lot lately. Some automated calls are better than others; my insurance is all voice-activated and the pre-recorded guy actually sounds conversational. “I’m sorry, I didn’t get that, could you tell me your name again?”
Weird..
Sta Travel has canned music with a British woman occasionally thanking me. The operators are a [...]

I missed the application deadline for Colonial House. Darn and darn. That’s okay, though, I’m holding out for (what I hope will be) the next season: Renaissance House. Whee!
My appointment with Career Counselling was canceled. This is the second time they’ve done that. Should I be worried?

What is happening with these bangs? Are they actually bangs? I paid someone forty dollars (after student discount) for these?
(That’s my ‘gotta look serious for the camera’ pose. Indeed.)
Sad truth: this is the best my hair’s looked since August.

I know I told myself that I wouldn’t, that he’d have to do this on his own, that he could handle it himself, but I spent the afternoon searching online classifieds, sending anything I could to Joe’s inbox. I hope he doesn’t have a small space limit. There were a lot of emails.

Because it does seem like a string of extremely unlucky coincidences. Is it possible to be that unlucky? Is there any way to break out of it? Is it really a coincidence?
Now that I’m trying to remember, I don’t know when someone asked me “Seriously now, what will your life be like ages 15-25?” Because [...]

So this static thing. It just isn’t that common in the Bay Area. Yet another reason why my hometown spoiled me rotton.
I’ve tried “grounding” myself by touching a key or a ring to the doorknob before opening it.. all I get is a bigger blue spark flying to my defenseless hand. And it still hurts.
Bah.
I [...]

I’m moving to a new room today. Let’s hope it’s quieter than this one. I’d like to be able to sleep at night without the aid of pills.
Honest now, I’m not pleased about being back in New York. The big and obvious reason is I’m away from Joe. But my classes don’t interest me, my [...]
